Marysia Lachowicz is a photographic artist based in Fife, Scotland. She regularly posts images of the area on her blog.

Marysia's practice is inspired by memory and shared social histories of places and events. She is also interested in the everyday, the little things that make up our world but that are often ignored as mundane or inconsequential.

Marysia works mainly with a digital camera but still loves the smell of a darkroom and has never lost her interest in 19th century photographic techniques and liquid emulsions.

Recently Marysia has been pushing her practice and experimenting with combining her photography with film and printmaking to produce multimedia artworks and textiles. Marysia is open to collaborations with other artists that extend her practice.
